Continuous glucose monitor (CGM)

A wearable sensor that reads glucose automatically, often every few minutes.

A continuous glucose monitor uses a small sensor under the skin to estimate glucose in the fluid between cells, typically every 1–5 minutes. It reveals trends and overnight patterns that finger-sticks miss.

CGMs are what made metrics like time in range and the ambulatory glucose profile practical for everyday use.
