Hyperglycemia (high blood sugar)
Glucose running above your target range, persistently or sharply.
Hyperglycemia is glucose above your target band. Occasional spikes after a large meal are common; readings that stay high, often flagged around 180 mg/dL (10 mmol/L) and above, are what warrant attention.
Sustained high glucose is what drives long-term complications, which is why steady time in range matters more than any single number.
