Body mass index (BMI)

Weight relative to height (kg/m²), a rough screen for under- and over-weight.

BMI divides weight in kilograms by height in meters squared. The common bands are under 18.5 (underweight), 18.5–24.9 (healthy), 25–29.9 (overweight), and 30 or more (obesity).

It's a population-level screen, not a diagnosis (it can't tell muscle from fat or show where weight sits), but tracked over time it's a simple trend worth watching alongside glucose.
